After The Ball

Wake up to the day, Sleeping Beauty
Dust the cobwebs from your head
The coffee is strong
And your prince has gone
Now that his lust is fed.
Kick off your heels, Cinderella
Those blisters have started to bleed
The birds flew the coop
The Prince has been duped
And your pumpkin has gone to seed.
Run far while you can, precious Belle
Use your knowledge and find a way
The spell’s been released
And your Prince is a beast
Who insists you must now obey.
Step out of the kitchen, Tiana
And see what your life has become
The liar, the dog
Your Prince, the frog
Bedded everyone under the sun.
